The short version. benchmaxxing is a leaderboard of silly tests, run seriously. Use it, quote it, share it. Don't treat it as advice, and don't abuse it.

What this site is

benchmaxxing tests AI models on small, easy tasks and publishes the scores. It is run by an independent individual. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or paid by any AI lab. Model names and trademarks belong to their makers.

The results

Scores come from scripts that ask each model the same questions and check the answers by a fixed rule. They reflect our tests on the date of each run. Models change, and our scripts can have mistakes. The results are for information and fun, not a basis for decisions. If you spot a mistake, tell us through the contact form.

Using what you find here

You're welcome to quote and share results, charts and screenshots, with a link back to the site. The site, its code and its design are not open source. Please don't copy them wholesale or present them as your own.

Using the site fairly

Don't try to break or overload the site, scrape it heavily, or flood the contact form. We may block traffic that does.

Messages you send

By sending a message, you let us read it and use it to improve the site, for example by testing the model you asked for. We won't publish your email address. The privacy page covers what we keep.

Chipping in

Donations through Ko-fi are voluntary and go toward the cost of running the tests. You don't get anything in return, like a result or a ranking. Payments are handled under Ko-fi's terms.

No guarantees

The site is provided as it is, without any warranty. As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for losses from using it or relying on its results.

Changes

We may update these terms. If we do, the date at the top changes. For questions, use the contact form.
