Privacy

The short version. No accounts, no cookies, no analytics, no ads and no tracking. The fonts and scripts come from this site, not from other companies. The only things we keep are messages you send us.

Who we are

benchmaxxing is run by an independent individual. For anything about your data, use the contact form.

When you visit

The site runs on Cloudflare. To deliver pages and protect the site from attacks, Cloudflare processes your IP address and basic browser details, and keeps short-lived request logs. We use these logs only to fix problems. We don't use them to identify or profile anyone. Cloudflare's own policy is at cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.

The exercises ("Try them yourself") send your answer to our server to show you the result. Nothing about them is stored.

When you use the contact form

We store what you write, the topic you picked, your email address if you give one, and the time. To stop spam, we also store a code made from your IP address and the date. The code can't be turned back into your IP address, and it changes every day. We never store the IP address itself.

Messages are kept in a Cloudflare database in Europe. We read them, reply if you left an email, and delete them within 12 months.

We use this data to answer you and to keep the form free of spam. Under the GDPR, the legal basis is our legitimate interest in running the site and replying to people who write to us.

Chipping in

If there's a "Chip in" link, it takes you to Ko-fi. Ko-fi handles the payment under its own privacy policy. We only see what Ko-fi shows us, like your name and message if you add them.

Who else gets your data

Only Cloudflare, which hosts the site and the database for us. We don't sell or share your data with anyone else. The AI models we test never see anything about visitors.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete what we hold about you, or object to how we use it. To do that, use the contact form. You can also complain to your data protection authority.

Changes

If this page changes, the date at the top changes too.
